Meet The Doctors

Paul Cechner, DVM, DACVS

Orthopedic Surgeon

Dr. Paul Cechner, a mobile surgical specialist, tends to our clinic's more complicated surgical cases, as he does for several hospitals in our community. Dr. Cechner graduated from veterinary school in 1973 from the University of Illinois and completed his surgical residency in 1976 at Purdue, where he worked as an Assistant Professor educating future veterinarians on surgical procedures until 1983.

When he is not busy with complex surgeries, Dr. Cechner stays busy with his own 5 furry family members at home.



Ginny De La Hoya, DVM

Medical Director

Dr. Ginny De La Hoya is a Los Angeles native. She graduated from the 
College of Veterinary Medicine at Western University of Health Sciences in 
2010. She is married and has 6 fur babies, 4 dogs and 2 cats. She 
previously worked at a 24 hour emergency practice and did an internship in 
Emergency and Critical Care. Ginny joined or team late 2016. She enjoys 
hiking, the beach and traveling on her spare time. 


Yu Fen "Dr. Jen" Hwang, DVM

Dr. Jen is excited to be part of the Lakewood Pet Vet family! Dr. Jen is a New York native and received her undergraduate degree from 
Stony Brook University in NY. After graduating from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine she completed her clinical studies at the University of Illinois. She then successfully completed a rigorous small animal rotating surgery and medicine internship program at BluePearl Veterinary Partners in NYC. 

In October 2014, Dr. Jen made the permanent move to sunny SoCal. In her spare time, Dr. Jen enjoys trying new restaurants, excercise and spending time with her fiance Mike and Rupert the cat. She also loves relaxing, watching movies and yoga. 


Dr. Kristina Naef

D.V.M.

Dr. Kristina Naef was born and raised in the South Bay. She attended  undergraduate school at Arizona State University, before pursuing a Master’s degree in biomedical sciences at Colorado State University. While  iving in Colorado, she worked for the Fort Collins Cat Rescue & Spay/Neuter Clinic before moving to Indiana to complete her DVM at Purdue University. Her veterinary interests include behavior, soft tissue surgery,  ophthalmology and internal medicine. She has a passion for shelter medicine and enjoys volunteering with shelter and rescue groups. 

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Naef loves practicing yoga and whipping up  culinary delights! She enjoys music, hiking and spending time with her family, which includes two cats, Gordon and Wheatley.


Dr. Tiffany Dang

Dr. Tiffany Dang was born and raised in Huntington Beach. After graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine at Western University of Health 
Sciences, she completed a rigorous one year rotating internship at Inland Valley Veterinary Specialist and Emergency Center where she gained 
experience in many fields including, emergency, internal medicine, oncology, surgery and shelter medicine. Outside of work Dr. Dang enjoys spending time with her fiance, trying out new food, baking and watching online cats and dogs videos. Her family consists of two dogs, cat, two lovebirds, box turtle and fish. 


Dr. Lisa Lee

Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Lisa Lee was born in Seoul, South Korea and raised in Orange County after her family moved to California when she was just 8 years old. She attended undergraduate school at University of California, Berkeley and continued her journey to become a veterinarian at University of California, Davis School of Veterinary Medicine.  

Her veterinary interests include dermatology, behavior, soft tissue surgery, and internal medicine.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Lee loves cooking, baking, and exploring new boba spots with her fiancé. Her fur babies includes Louie, a Havanese mix and parvo survivor rescued prior to vet school, and Nilla, a poodle mix rescued during her shelter externship.
 


Dr. Alex Tsai

Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Alex Tsai was born in Taiwan and grew up hanging out with his grandmother’s ten cats before moving to Irvine, California at the age of 10. He graduated from UC Davis for both his undergraduate study in Animal Biology and Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine.  His veterinary interests include behavior, surgery, and preventative medicine.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Tsai enjoys playing the ukulele, playing basketball, going on hikes, and spending time with his wife. He also enjoys cuddling with his Tuxedo cat, Mimi.
